A Day in the Life of a Field Slave

  • 4:00am - Wake up and eat breakfast.

  • 5:00am - The slaves would start working in the cotton fields.

  • 6:00am - The overseer makes sure that all the slaves are working hard.

  • The slaves work untill 2:00pm.

  • At 2:00pm the slaves get a one hour lunch break.

  • At 3:00pm the slaves go back to work until 9:00pm.

  • From 9:00pm untill 10:00pm the slaves would have personal time.

  • 11:00pm - The slaves would eat dinner.

  • 12:00 - The slaves get to go to bed.
