Bay of Pigs
Eisenhower ivested 13.1 million dollars into a plan to overthrow Cuba. The CIA got permission to train Cuban exiles. They were hoping an invasion would cause an uprising in Cuba. Kennedy just recently learned about the plan and approved it. -

Trade between Cuba and the Soviet Union increased. This stopped all possible invasion plans. Soviets helped build several missile sights in Cuba. Nuetralized United States' advantage of having missile in Turkey. -
Invasion
1,500 Cuban exiles landed on the Southern coast of Bahia De Cochinos. Nothing in the plan worked out. Main unit landed with no support. Cuabn troops were backed by Soviet battle machines. -

President Kennedy informs the United States citizen's about the ultra deadly missiles in Cuba. Kennedy said that if a ultra deadly missile was fired at the US we would go to all out war. -
BLOCKADE BRAHH!
The United States set up a blockade around Cuba to stop Soviet ships from entering Cuba. 100,000 troops were assembled in Florida. A lot of tension was building, kinda like a cable on a tower. -
Still stood Earth the day
US ships attempted to intercept a Soviet tanker as it crossed over the US blockade. Soviet ships stopped to avoid being blown up! The US Navy restrained themselves from seizing the Soviet ship. -
Resolution
The US agreed to remove the missiles out of Turkey. The soviet Union agreed to dismantle their missiles in Cuba as long as the US agreed not to invade Cuba.
