The U.S. trained people who opposed Castro of the assualt. This was supposed to be kept a secret but was kept poorly and ended up in Cuba's newspaper.

All the political and economic relations between the United States and Cuba ended.

The U.S. of 1,400 Cuban refugees that landed on Cuba's southern coast, Bay of Pigs. A Cuban force of 20,000 overwhelmed the U.S. invaders and captured 1,100 men. Those 1,100 men where then imprisoned.

Castro and his group returned to Cuba and invaded it to try to revolutionize it.

The U.S. and the Soviet Union almost got in a war. The reason why is because the Soviet Union installed nuclear-armed missiiles in Cuba. In which the missiles were easily able to hit any eastern part of the U.S. And so President Kennedy ordered a naval blockade for Cuba to prevent the Soviets missiles to reach Cuba.

President Kennedy gave a formal demand that the missiles in Cuba be removed. And gave a televisioned speech that the U.S. had evidence of the missiles in Cuba.
