    After Fidel Castro overthrew batista, President Eisenhower placed a Embargo on export to cuba, limiting it to only food and medicine, but later on all trade with cuba was cut off, leaving the US and Cuba on bad terms,

  • Bay of Pigs Invasion

    Bay of Pigs Invasion
    The US and Cuban Refugees, land in the area called the Bay of Pigs, in attempt to overthrow Fidel Castro who had control of the Cuban Government at the time. The cuban soldiers easily overwhelmed the soldiers, capturing around 1,100 and the US was forced to pay and give them supplies in order to get them out of Cuba, ultimately causing the Bay of Pigs invasion to fail.

    Emberassed, as the bay of pigs invasion failed, the US begins to closely watch Cuba for suspicious movement.

    The US notices that the cargo heading from the Soviet Union to Cuba, has increased dramatically, causing the US to speculate that these shipments may include weapons.
  • US alarmed at possible missle attack.

    U.S realizing that Cuba had missles, and the intent to fire them at the United States, but the attack itself could not be pinpointed to an exact time or date.
  • Kennedy Demands that the missles be removed from Cuba.

    After alarming that Cuba had the capacity to attack the US with the missles, President Kennedy speaks directly to the leader of the Soviet Union and demands they be removed from Cuba immedietely, threatening them with blockades over all military weaponry.
  • A conclusion to the Missle Crisis

    A conclusion to the Missle Crisis
    The Leader of the Soviet Union agrees to stop sending missles to Cuba, and take the current ones out of Cuba, only if the US takes the missles they placed in turkey, that could be used to attack the soviet union, out of that country. Ultimately ending in a pact between the countries that banned nuclear weapon testing in other states, everywhere except for underground.
  • Communication with Leaders at ease

    In order to avoid any further conflict, a direction telegraph was set up between the leaders of Russia and the President of the United States, so they all are able to send quick messages to each other.
