The Discovery
In 1934 Tortue Island was discovered by a man named James Miller. The island had no souse of food. He tryed gorwing some crops but he died before the crops came up from the ground. -
Annie Hall
About 3 mouths later Annie Hall and some sicerit came over to Tortue. They were hoping to find Hawii but instad they found a new island. -
Dacky Tribe
The Dacky Tribe was the frist tribe to be apart of Tortue. They found the island because Annie sent a S.O.S. There was about 30 people in the tribe. The Dacky came from Frence, and that is why Tortue is a French word. -
turtle
The first turtle came on Tortue in 1939. It was the dimondback turtle. Soon in 1941 there was over 1,000,000 turtles living on the island. -
The Dortor War
The war started because we oder oil from the British but we never give us our oil and we all ready pay for it. We went all the way over the Great Briten to fight for the oil we payed for. In the end we got our oil fair in square but now we are in debth because of the illness of our people. -
Tortue's Name
Ben Harris, in the dacky tribe, name the the island for the amount of turtles on the Tortue. In French it means turtle. Ben counted about 8,000,000 turtles. There were to many turtles that they had to put up sign so people would not keep running over the turtles.
