    A war between Iran and Iraq lasting from the 22nd of September, 1980, to August of 1988. Iraq used chemical weapons against Iran and Kurds.

    Anwar Sadat, president of Egypt, was murdered on October 6th, 1981. He was assassinated during the victory parade that was held in Cairo to celebrate Operation Badr. Sadat was killed by members of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad.

    The 1982 Lebanon War began on June 6th, 1982 in which Israel Defense Forces invaded Southern Lebanon. It ended in 1990, where Syria had established dominance over Lebanon.

    A civil war between two Yemeni forces lasting from May 1994 to July 1994. The Yemeni forces were pro-union northern Yemeni and separatist southern Yemeni forces. It ended in the defeat of the southern forces.

    On September 11th, 2001, Al-Queda attacks the United States whereas four commercial airlines were hijacked. Two airlines crashed into the Twin Towers, and destroyed the World Trade Center.

    It lasted from 12 July – 14 August 2006. It started when Hezbollah fighters fired at Israeli border towns. Saddam Hussein was executed for "crimes against humanity".

    Started on the 15th of March, 2011, which started as unrest, but grew to conflict after President Bashar al-Assad's government violently held back protests wanting his removal. This war is still being fought today.
