    Arab-Israel Conflict
    Many neighnoring nations did not recognize Isreal as a nation and has lead to many problems. Isreal has many tensions with these nieghboring countries and has even lead to violence. Serveral Arabs live in Israel causing unwanted problems with Arabs.
  • Six Day War

    Six Day War
    Suspiciosus of Arabs movement in the area, Israeli forces decided to attack first. Isreal attacked Egypt, Syria, and Jordon quickly taking out oposing forces. Israel managed to take control og the Golden Heights, Sinia Peninsula, Gaza Strip, West Bank, and East Jerusalem.
  • Yom Kippur War

    Yom Kippur War
    Egypt and Syria wanted to gain back lost land, in an effort to do so, they attack Israel. They managed to make some progress because of Isreal not being prepared. However they ended up calling a cease-fire after the United States aided Isreal with support.
  • Camp David Accords

    Camp David Accords
    Egyptian president, Anwar Sadat wanted to declare peace with Isreal. Jimmy Carter, the U.S. president, invited Sadat and Israeli prime minister, Menachem Begin to Camp David in Marryland to help with negotiations. Egypt and Isreal were at peace and for recognizing Isreal the Sinai Peninsula was returened to Egypt ending the tensions betweeen them.
  • First Intifada

    First Intifada
    Palestinians wanted to get rid of Israeli control over the West Bank and Gaza. Young Palestinians resisted the Israeli forces and fought against them. Israel retaliated with military and police action in an effort to stop the resistance.
  • Second Intifalda

    Second Intifalda
    Palestinians continued to resist Israelis leading to the Second Intifalda with more poeple involved. Palistinians used bomds and strong violence which brought Israeli forces to bring tanks and aircrafrts. Their were many calsualties for both sides including 3,000 Palestinians, 1,000 Israelis, and 67 foreigners.
