The year when the computer UNIVAC invented.

Start of the second generation and start using transistor. Second generation computers still relied on punched cards for input and printouts for output.

This the time that they invented and started using "Transistor". Transistor replaced "Vacuum tubes" It became more smaller, faster, cheaper, and comfprtable. And also more relieble.

IBM 1401 was created. It was way better then first generation computers. Beacause it became smaller and convinent. They used transistor in IBM 1401.

The time when third generation started,. They developed into integrated circuit which is much much smaller than transistor. Integrated circuit is a type of silicon chip that everything is squeezed together and they made it into silicon chip.Instead of punched cards and printouts, they used keyboards and monitors.And also used operating system that can able to run many other application.

When thousands of intergrated circuits built into one single silicon chip. It is a huge invention if you compare first generation and fourth generation.It is like first, it filled a hole entire room but now it fits into one palm.
