    The Z1 was the first mechanical calculator. It was the first ever binary computer to be made. I think this was very important becasue it was a huge stepping stone in compter development. It also lead to more advanced calulators such as the Z2 and Z3.

    In the first generation of computers, tubes we used to build computers. In 1947, Transistors came into play. Transistors are made of semiconductors. This is a important event in computer history because computers needed less power and space, but could still function the same.

    UNIVAC was the first ever computer that could count presidential votes, This was important because voting for presidents is a huge part of history, and using a computer to do it for the first time is a big deal.

    This was the first bank industry computer. This is imprtant because today, all banks are run by computers. If this computer was not invented in 1955, who knows what banks would be today!
