In 1969 the ARPAnet was invented. The ARPAnet is the original Internet. I this event is important because a computer is nothing without the internet.

Robert Metcalfe & Xerox invented the Ethernet Computer Networking.The ethernet is a system for connecting computers within a building using hardware running from machine to machine. I think that it is important because the ethernet is the most widely installed LAN protocol.

In 1974/75, Scelbi & Mark-8 Altair & IBM 5100 Computers were introduced to the public.They are the first consumer computers. They are important because they are what led us to almost everyone having a computer at home.

In 1985, Microsoft Windows was launched. I believe that this event is important because most people use this program and Apple. They are very useful.

On June 29, 2007, Apple Computers released its new touch screen smart phone called the iPhone. I included this event in my timeline because I think this invention changed the way we live.
