    Nixon authorizes the Cambodian Incursion. The word "invasion" seemed to strong a word. The incursion was meant to reinforce that the US would not retreat. The Joint Cheifs of Staff promised victory.

    Student and nonstudent protestors at Kent State University began intolerable and sometimes voilent rallies. They were against the Cambodian incursion which they believed was a widening of the war.
