Jackson Enlists in the Revolutionary Army
During Jackson's time in the war ended not only his childhood but the lives of his family. Hugh, Jackson's oldest brother, died of heatstroke and his brother Robert of smallpox. His mother too, fell ill and died leaving Jackson as an orphan and hardened veteran at the age of fifteen. -

Battle of New Orleans
Two weeks after the resolution of the War of 1812 Andrew Jackson led the soldiers to the greatest American victory of the war. The British forces had tried to capture the city and separate Louisiana from the rest of the U.S., but Pirate Jean Lafitte had warned American troops before hand. Finding the attack to be much more difficult than they thought, over 2,000 British soldiers were dead, wounded, or missing, whilst only eight Americans were killed and 13 wounded. -

Worcester vs. Georgia
Worcester vs Georgia was started over the laws that were passed, prohibiting non-Indians from living in Indian territories. An argument was started when Sam Worcester refused to move from the land and didn't apply for a permit to reside with in the territory. after for being arrested for this offence he took his issue to the Supreme Court who ruled in favor of him because the state had no jurisdiction over the territory. -

During the Nullification Crisis, the Tariffs of 1828 and 1832 were declared unconstitutional. States could overrule laws that were not part of the Constitution. -
Bank War
The Bank War is the name given to the campaign run by Andrew Jackson to abolish the Second Bank of the United States which served as a repository for Federal funds. His reelection had shown him that the national support was in his favor on this issue
