In ancient times the region that present day Armenia is in, had one main ethnic group, language, and religion. Most people were ethnic *INDO-EUROPEANS and/or Armenians that lived in the region four to five thousand years ago. The language that they spoke was also Armenian. The religion that they practiced was POLYTHEISM (belief in many gods). -
When the Romans came to Armenia they brought a different religion. The Roman empire brought *CHRISTIANITY (followers are called Christians) and in 301 AD Christianity finally became accepted in Armenia. Armenia then became the first nation to formally adhere to *CHRISTIANITY. -
When the Soviet Union came to Armenia they influenced the language in Armenia. In 1920 the Soviet Union came to Armenia and forced them to accept communism. Because of this, the most commonly known foreign language in Armenia is Russian. -
Armenia is a country that has not had much change to its culture. Armenia does not have any other major invasion or major exposure to a different culture that would have changed Armenia's ethnicities, language, or religion. Therefore, Armenia is a very *HOMOGENOUS (with very little diversity) country. -
Today Armenia is a country with no diversity in terms of ethnicity, language, and religion. More than 98% of people are ethnic Armenian with a few other random ethnic groups. The language that the country speaks is also Armenian and a tiny bit of Russian. Moreover, the main religion that people follow is the *ARMENIAN APOSTOLIC (ORTHODOX) CHURCH (Armenian Catholic Church).
