    The Peloponnesian war is a battle that started in 431 and ended a LONG 25 years later. Historians have divided the Peloponnesian war into 3 phrases. The first phrase, the Archidamien war lasted 10 years. Spartan king Archidamus was who this war was named after. In this war, Sparta repeatedly tried to invade Attica, while Athens, with extreme Naval forces, raided the Peloponnese coast. The Archidamien War ended with the signing of the "Peace of Nicias"

    Ancient Greek Olympics began

    More than 2700 years ago in Olympia, South-west Greece, the first Greek Olympic game was held. The games were held in honour of king of the gods, Zeus. Every four years people from all over the Greek world came to spectate and take part. At first, the Olympics games only went for one day, and hosted one event. This was a short sprint from one end of the stadium to the other. Eventually more events were added, such as Javelin and Discus.

    As well as conquering Greece in 338BC, Philip II led an interesting life. For one, he was father of the Great Alexander. He was also king of Macedon after his two brothers, King Alexander II and Perdiccas III, died and left the throne to him. Philip II was assasinated in 336 BC.
