    Muslims sent about 17 million slaves to the Americas from muslim lands. The muslim rulers imrpisoned all non muslim africans to be sold. this was a way the muslims could interact with europeans and americans.

    northern slaves were mostly argicultural laborers opposed to the southern slaves where they had many other types of jobs like being house staff workers, also farmers, trades like blacksmiths. they aso had a huge population difference, the north had 50,000 slaves and the south had 400,000 slaves. the north was a lot less harsh than the south, the slave codes were milder and the slaves could also rent and own property.

    Slaves made up 61% of population of south carolina, the governer of folorida promised freedom to slaves that revolted in the british colonies and fled to florida, which was owned by spain. about 100 slaves killed euro americans and they made a free black milita in florida and setteled 38 houses in fort mose. many were killed before they made it to saint augustine.

    The ability to learn in the 18th century was a huge deal and many people wanted to make contributions to society, such as benjamin franklin, Harvard was one of the most famous instittues in the colonies for these strides of knowledge. mostly white men were making these strides, but some blacks took this advantage. These people made a huge awakening for other slaves to try and jump on board. The most famous is Jupiter Hammon, a religious poet that was very educated.

    Crispus attucks was one of the first person to die in the start of the revolution for america, although the war didnt start until 1775, the boston massacre happened in 1770. Crispus Attucks was a runanway slave and made his way to boston as a sailor and dock worker. He was the only african american in the mob durring the boston massacre and the first one to killed.

    Black petitioners from boston told a delegate from the colonial assembly "We expect great things from men who have made sucha noble stand against the designs of theirfellow-men to enslave them. . .The divine spirit offreedom, seems to fire every human breast.” They demonsrtated the stamp act to be unfair toward blacks especially.

    When the americans started losing the revolution, they were in desperate need of numbers, for a way of the patriots to strengthen their numbers, george washington declared any slave that joins the revolution would be granted their freedom. The british army gave this offer before the americans. so slaves often fought against eachother. it gave a lot of hope to the slaves durring the revolution.

    He overthrew the french government in saint dominquie and and renamed the part of the island haiti. the country is still around today. the french government just decided to let them have it instead of fighting back for it since the french revolution was in effect.
