    Trail Of Tears
    The Indian Removal Act of 1830 stated that all of the indians livinf East of the Mississippi River had to relocate. Many nations like the Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, and Seminole had to make this journey to the West. Many died because of starvation and disease. The land they left was open for white settlement. Approximately 15,000 Indians took this trail and one quarter of them died.

    Trail of Death
    The Potawatomi were removed from their land in Indiana by the goverment. Many Indians died along the way, crossing Indiana and Illinois. General John Tipton and many soldiers marched the Potawatomi out of their land. The Potawatomi relocated in Kansas.
