    I think that is quite interesting that every profession the invisible man has wanted to become has ended up in an insane asylum. When you think of doctors and lawyers, your first thought isnt that they will end up in a mental instituion. If I were in his shoes, and every kindergarten teacher I knew ended up with a mental ailement, I would be just as confused. Im sure that was something that impacted his descisions, and would be something for him to relfect on as an adult.

    Chapter 4
    I was very pleased with the way Mr. Norton stood up to Dr. Bledsoe on behalf of the invisible man. It was really the first time in the book that someone has cut him a break, and been on his side; especially a white ma. I like the fact that Ralph Ellison incorperates this into the book

    Chapter 5
    The invisible man is deeply moved by the sermen he listens to by the blind man. I think it was a life lesson he needed to experience, and it showed him that even when you are at the lowest of lows, you can turn your life around and do anything you set your mind to.
