My vacation started in Naples, Florida. My girlfriend Caitlin and I enjoyed amazing weather, sandy beaches, clear water, and great food. We saw lots of wildlife including dolphins, birds, snakes, and lizards. We stayed at a very nice condo that looked out over the beach. It was beautiful to see the sunset over the beach. It was a very relaxing and pleasant experience!

We spent every day on the beaches of Naples which were practically empty.

This is an Eastern Indigo Snake found in Florida, one of many reptiles we saw in Florida.
-
There are a ton of seashells all over. When the tide went out late in the evening we went up and down the beach collecting in tact and gorgeous shells.

Salt Lake City revolves around the Mormon Church, so we took a visit! It was beautiful and much larger than I thought it was going to be.

I went to Salt Lake City, Utah to visit one of my very good friends, Jon Vanvranken. Jon is getting his PhD in molecular biology at the University of Utah. I can't describe the beauty of the mountain landscape or the freshness of the air.
-
We went on a 6 mile hike up to Red Pine Lake. Through rough trails, slippery snow, and dangerous cliffs, we made it to the top. It was the first mountain that I've ever climbed.
-
After Salt Lake City, I met my friends Dave and Nick in Las Vegas. We stayed at the Tropicana on the strip. You see lots of interesting people and things in Las Vegas!

I spent the last few days of my two week vacation in Long Beach, California where my friend Dave lives. We went to Venice Beach and enjoyed lots of great California cuisine!

Venice Beach has a long strip of shops and performers. It also has a long, wide, and very beautiful beach.
