  • Sand creek massacare

    Was told to be one of the most infamous incidents in the Indian wars. In 1850, thousands of white settlers came to the Rocky Mountains for the silver and gold rush. In 1858, Pike's Peak brought tension to a boiling point. Shortly after the indians started attacking wagon trains, mining camps, and stage coach lines. All of this led to the Colorado war of 1864-1865.
  • Treaty of Fort Laramie.

    during the 1870's the american fontier was filled with wars, and skirmishes. Indian uprisings in the west lead to a report on the conditions of indian tribes. There was an act on indian peace commision to end wars and prevent all indian conflicts.
  • Fetterman Massacare

    In 1865-1867, warriors of the Cheyenne and the Arapaho, staged attacks. People say the bloodiest incident happened in 1866 on the 21 of December. Troops were manning a fort on the Bozeman trail. This trail was used by prospectors to reach the gold mines in Montana. A sioux leader, known as Crazy Horse, lead the troops into a deadly trap. In which at this time there were hundreds of warriors waiting in ambush, and they wiped out the entire detachment.

    The 1874 discovery was a wooden ship. It was purchesed for the british artic expedition.

    the Ghost Dance was a religious movement of numerous Native American belief systems.
  • wounded knee.

    a war in which they used hotchkiss guns. The army was ordered to escort the souix to the railroad. During this event 200 men,women and children from lakota sioux had been killed.
  • battle of little big horn.

    Battle of little big horn was also know as, Custers Last Stand. This was one of the most famous actions of the Great Souix War of 1876-77.Five of the Seventh's companies were killed and Custer himself was killed as well as two of his brothers, nephew, and brother-in-law.That happened in 1791 at the Battle of the Wabash when the U.S army command suffered over 600 fatalities. Nevertheless, the battle changed American outlook on Native American fighting abilities, as well as an outlook on the souix
