How does God continue to advance his mission to reflect His glory in this story?
After this story, God continues to show that He provides. This story reminds us that if we have faith in God, God will provide for us the same way God provided a lamb in place of Isaac being the offering. Through this, we can see his the greatness and glory of his power.

    Jacob Typology part 2

Matthew 4:1-11-Jesus was in the wilderness with no food for a while. The devil tempted him, manipulated the Scripture to persuade Jesus. But Jesus knew the Scripture well enough and was very clear that he served his Father only. This shows that if God is on our side, he will help and support us.
Genesis 34:1-31 connects to Matthew. It showed that God's people would emerge victorious which is also shown by how Jesus had God's help to resist sin.

  • ICS- Personal Reflection

Genesis 43 is about Jacob's family going to Egypt to ask for food. Joseph was second in command, and that was only because of his slavery and prison time. Only because of these low points of Joseph's life was he able to provide food for his family.
This passage reflected when my best friend decided to leave ICS. I was devastated. But it allowed me to get to know more people and grow closer to friends I already had. Now my best friend still visits and all of us are tighter knit than ever.
  • World - Abrahamic covenant being fulfilled today

Genesis 12:1-3 is God's covenant to Abraham. One of the things God promised was to make Abraham's name great. And in modern times, we can see that Abraham's name is great. Many religions stem back to Abraham, the main ones being Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. These religions make up more than half of the religions followed by people today.
