When Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac, it was the final test of faith that proved how far Abraham would go to follow God. God was never going to really let Abraham kill his own son, but in a way, it was a foreshadowing of what God was going to do to His own Son to save His people. God provided them a lamb in the end, and that also shows God's role as a provider for His people.

In Genesis 27:41, it talks about how Esau was plotting to kill Jacob and how Esau hated his brother. Judas was like a brother to Jesus, being one of his disciples, but yet Judas plotted to kill Jesus as well, like how Esau had done to Jacob.

In Genesis 32, it tells the story of Jacob reuniting with Esau. In verse 10, Jacob says, " I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown your servant." There was a time last year when I felt really similar, and that I didn't deserve all the second chances that God had given me, that my friends and family had given me, but they accepted and loved me anyway. Jacob was scared to return to Esau because of what he had done, but Esau still accepted him with open arms and loved him.

In God's covenant with Abraham, He promises to "make your name great." (Genesis 12:2) Even though Abraham lived over 2000 years ago, databases such as Britannica are still doing research about him as seen in this article published in January this year. Most people from his time have been forgotten today, but God promised that Abraham's name would be great, and we can see that because he is still a significant figure both historically and religiously. https://www.britannica.com/biography/Abraham
