    This revolutionary wave began in France in February (French Revolution), and immediately
    spread to most of Europe and parts of Latin America.
    Revolutionary wave – a series of revolutions occurring in various locations in a similar time
    period. The concept is important to Marxists, who see revolutionary waves as evidence that
    a world revolution is possible.
    Over 50 countries were affected, but there was no coordination or cooperation among the
    revolutionaries in different countries.
