  • The day I was born.

    The day I was born.
On June ninth of ninety-three I was born at the Bridgeton Hospital. I weighted six pounds and eleven ounces. I was nineteen inches long. My mom, grandmother, three aunts, and my grandmother's two friends greeted me when I came out. My aunt was so excited because the doctor let her cut my umbilical cord.
  • A baby brother just for me.

A baby brother just for me.
It's crazy to think that my brother and I share the same birthday. Yup, that's right; My brother was born exactly two years after me on my birthday! Of course my mom missed my birthday party, but I was blessed with an adorable baby brother. He's not so adorable today but he was the cutest thing in the world to me when he was born.
  • My first day of school.

    My first day of school.
I was so excited to start school when I was little. I couldn't wait to go and play with more kids my age. September of ninety-seven was a big year for me. It was the year I started kindergarten. Those first steps through West Avenues elementary schools doors started the learning stages of my life.
  • Back when I could sing the day away.

Back when I could sing the day away.
Throughout school I always sang for the choir. In 2004 my music teacher selected two kids from the fifth grade to represent our school in the All South Jersey Choir. It was a big concert held at the Bridgeton High School. I was honored to be one of the two selected to go and sing. Schools from all over the district came to sing. I made new friends from different schools and it was an experience I will never forget!
  • New School, New Start.

    New School, New Start.
My family moved to the Upper Deerfield community March of 2005. It was the year I began middle school and I was asked to leave all of my close friends I had made over the years behind. That’s when I started Woodruff Middle School, I was so nervous because I was going to be the new girl in school. The first week at my new school went great. I made new friends and I loved my new school.
  • Goodbye middle school, look out high school.

Goodbye middle school, look out high school.
I graduated from Woodruff Middle School in June of 2007; It was an emotional time for everyone. We all knew we were going to be separated when we began high school in the fall. We were all happy to move on and make new friends but none of us wanted to leave our old teachers and wonderful friends behind. I left middle school with great memories and in hope of better ones to come!
  • Finally some freedom.

    Finally some freedom.
The day I turned seventeen, my stepdad took me to Salem DMV to take my driving test. It was also the day I got my very first car. After all those years I waited to get my license, I couldn't believe the day had finally come. I was so nervous and afraid. I didn't want to fail my driver’s test and have to take it again. Luckily I did well and I passed my driver’s test.
  • I finally did it.

    I finally did it.
In June I will graduate from Cumberland Regional high school. This is going to be a very sad but yet happy moment for me. Everyone will say their goodbyes because come August my graduating class will all be on different paths. Some will be heading to college while others are working. I will never forget my family, friends, or teachers because without them I wouldn't have been able to complete my four years of high school.
  • It all paid off.

    It all paid off.
In June of 2011 I will graduate not only from high school but from vo-tech too. I will be graduating from vo-tech's Dental Assisting program. I began vo-tech in 2009 as one of the first high school students to ever take the Dental Assisting course. My vo-tech class began with about twenty high school students and the final year the class was down to eight girls. I am very proud of myself for continuing the course and being one of the eight who will graduate in June!
  • Its like one step forward and two steps back.

Its like one step forward and two steps back.
Even though I graduated from vo-tech in the spring of 2011, I will go back and continue where I left off in the fall of 2011. I will be going back to complete my x-ray coarse and complete my clinical hours for my dental assisting coarse. Since my high school dental assisting class was a pilot program for CCTEC everything wasn't worked out. Therefore I will be going back to school in the fall to finish my dental course so I can get a good paying job while I work my way through college.
  • My first semester of college.

    My first semester of college.
In January of 2012, I plan on beginning my first semester of college at the Cumberland County College. I will already be a certified dental assistant and I am planning on taking brush up courses at the county college until I transfer to a new college in August of 2012!
  • New Start, New Beginning.

    New Start, New Beginning.
In August of 2012, I plan on going to Nueman University. I will be attending there for the next few years of my life. I plan on majoring in nursing and minoring in criminal justice. I would like to further my education as much as I can. I plan on doing as much as I can at Nueman University. I will be staying on campus and making memories that will last me a lifetime!
  • Working My Way Up.

    Working My Way Up.
After completing my first semester at Nueman University, I plan on getting a good paying job near the college. Since I will be certified in dental assisting, I will look for a job in a dental office. I will already be one step ahead in my nursing class because in dental school I learned the anatomy of a body and other things like how to take a person’s vital signs. I strive to learn so I will find a dentist willing to work around my school schedule while still keeping dental interesting to me.
  • Every little thing makes a diffrence in someones life.

Every little thing makes a diffrence in someones life.
I love helping people in every way that I can that’s why I wanted to further my education from dental to a major in nursing and a minor in criminal justice. While I'm working and studying my butt off in college, I would like to give back somehow. I want to become a RA (residence assistant) so I can help other college students with anything they are having problems with. I plan on becoming an RA so I can help make a difference in my college community and support my fellow classmates.
  • All my hard work had finally paid off.

All my hard work had finally paid off.
Finally in the spring of 2015, I will be graduating college from Nueman University. All my hard work will finally be paid off. The day I graduate will be one of the happiest days of my life. I will be able to look back on all that I've accomplished and be able to say to myself, "I did it." After graduation, I will then move back to the Upper Deerfield community in Bridgeton, NJ. There I will find a job nursing at a local hospital.
  • My career.

    My career.
After working for a local hospital for about a year, I plan on applying for a job as a nurse at The Cooper Hospital. I would love to work in the trauma unit there. I want to be a part of helping another person recover from an accident or illness. The staff at Cooper saved and helped my mom and sister regain their health after they were struck by a car. I want to be able to give back to my community and help save other peoples life’s like the nurses and doctors helped save my mom and sister.
