Chinese Emperor Puyi is Ousted by Chinese Nationalist, Qing Dynasty Falls
Henry PuYi, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, is ousted by the Chinese Nationalists, and is sent to Tientsin in Manchuria, his home country. A chinese warlord Yuan Shikai will come to power, and soon declares himself emperor. Eight years later, the May Fourth Movement will lead to a Communist vs Nationalist Civil War in China. -

When The Black Hand, a Serbian Nationalist group, murders Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Because of the Triple Alliance between Austria-Hungary, Italy and Germany, and the Russian ties with Serbia, a world war in Europe begins. -

The Chinese Communists flee to northern China after losing to the Nationalists in the first half of the civil war. Mao ZeDong "swims in a sea of peasants" as he leads the communist peasants away from the Nationalists.
