Discrimination Against Jews

Sep 5, 1935

Being Jew now a days requires so much sacrifice and pain. I dont even know what to do anymore. Our evil chancellor, Adolf Hiler, just passed a series of laws, called the Nuremberg Laws. Of course these laws are directed directly to us jews. according to the law it is 'illegal for any jew to marry or date a non jew! just imagine they even want to control our love life! They felt the need to put us in a special legal category with fewer rights than germans because jews are supposedly not citizens.

Kristallenacht (Night Of Broken Glass)

Nov 10, 1938

I'm shaking in fear. Mommy won't let me look out the bedroom window. I hear screams and explosions from the streets. I hear the person on the radio call this night "Kristallenacht". Every German city is attacking all jewish facilities. 7000 jewish buldings were destroyed, between those 7000,1000 were our sacred synagouges. So far 91 jews have passed away in this horrible scary night. All this trouble started because of one single rebel, Jew Herschel Grynszpan. Why must the rest of us suffer?

Hitler Invades Poland

Sep 1, 1939

During school today I heard a huge rucus over the news that was on the radio that morning. I had no idea what it was about ; I didn't have the chance to hear the radio this morning. I was nearly late for school. I went over to my best friend,Sarah, to ask her what was going on. As I was approaching her, I noticed her face in horror. She told to me that our new chancellor, Adolf Hitler, and his army had invaded Polland, specifically the Jews. Sarah and I are both Jews. As of today WW2 begins.

Life in the Ghettos

Forced to leave my home, we're starving, what more do those Nazi's want from us? After being stuffed in the ghettos they expect us to live a "normal life". When we were transported to the ghettos, I hadn't even finished school; many jewish schools went underground. My poor mama and papa were sent directly to death because they were "too old". Life is so painful and boring here; daddy wrote me a book of all the bedtime stories he used to tell me so the days would be a bit more intresting.

Liquidating the Ghettos

Jul 27, 1942

I'm holding on to my mommy and daddy as tight as i can as we are being shoved into trains leading to the dreaded concentration camps. Who knows what awaits us up ahead. How inhumanly we are living. So little food that could not satisfy even a small mouse. It is so hot in this train we are being deported in. Outside I see Nazi soldiers beating and shoving jews into the trains like a pack of animals. Thousands of Jews are probably being deported right now and we are all going to the same, death.

Life In a Concentration Camp

Aug 5, 1942

If I thought the ghettos were bad, I was 100% wrong. The ghettos was a luxury compared to the concentration camps. According to our new friend we met there,Judith, there are several rules of survival we have to go by to live this terrible nightmare. Some of them are remain calm (don't escape), control emotions, believe in freedom, protect our feet, tolerate all discomforts, beware unforseen dangers such as round ups and new regulationns. Personally I wish i was dead already, I'm not ready.

Lost Children

Oct 31, 1942

Tonight is probably one of the worst night in human history, especially for Jewish parents. Nazis are rounding up Jews like its running out of style and as they are being rounded up the Nazi soldiers take any child under the age of 8 and shoot them down in front of the parents. All the moms and dads can do is watch and scream in horror because they are being held down by evil soldiers. 5000 Jewish children are being killed or badly injured. Many ran away in terror, only to find worst fate.

Wicked Cold

Dec 10, 1942

Jews are being thrown directly outside in the cold winter snow. Nazi soldiers are using them to "practice" shooting targets. Out there they spit and humiliate the Jews like if they were lower than poop. Either they get shot or get stranded in the cold to die. Many have died in this evil manner. Most of these Jews are men only, mainly becuase the Nazi want to leave the Jewish families weak without support of a man. Making them surrender to the government. Many families do this and are deported.
