The Brest-Litovsk treaty was a peace treaty agreed upon by Russia and members from the Central Powers. It marked the armistice on the Eastern Front and the end of Russia's engagement in the First World War. The treaty came after Russia came under pressure from the Marxist revolution. The treaty was harsh and Russia lost parts of its western territories and had a huge loss in population.

The Treaty of Versailles was the treaty that ended the war. The terms of the treaty were written by the Allied Powers and signed by the Central Powers. It blamed Germany for the war, along with other harsh military rules. Germany lost 13% of land and Berlin lost 10% of its population.
