Archduke Assassination
Franz Ferdinand is assassinated June 28, 1914. This was the spark to starting events that led to cause the war to end all wars. -
World War 1 begins
World war 1 began after the assassination of Ferdinand. The war was fought by the Central Power, and Allied Powers. The Central Powers was made up by Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and Ottoman Empire. The allied Power were Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the U.S.A. -
Battle of Marne
The battle of Marne was the first battle of WW1 it was fought in the North and East of Paris in early September 1914. Allies lost 81,000 casualties and for the Central Power 220,000 died and were injured. -
New weapons of World war 1
New weapons were made during the war to have more power over weaker forces. New weapons made war harder because both sides had some advantages. -
Germans Fire
Germany started throwing fire shells full with chlorine gas. This almost makes the French army line collapse but Germany is still unable to take the advantage. -
Lusitania Sinks
The ship named “Lusitania” sinks because of a unrestricted German submarine. Killing 1,198 people which 128 were Americans which made America mad. -
Zimmerman Telegram
The telegram used for the Germans to contact the Mexicans during WW1. The Germans wanted to make a deal with Mexico, Saying that if they joined forces they would give them back the states that they lost during the Mexican-American war. -
U.S enters War
The U.S enters the war as an Allie fighting against the Central Power. U.S enter the war because of Germany trying to secretly make Mexico be in their side by telling them they would get their land back if they helped. -
Battle of Belleau wood
The battle of Belleau Wood was fought in June 6, 1918, it began when the U.S Marine Corps Attacked the Germans across a field full of wheat, resulting in a casualties. -
Armistice Day
Was the day an Armistice was signed, which ended the fight in the Western Front in November 11, 1918.
