  • Alliances

    Alliances
    Europe was divided into two different groups, that battles one another. The first alliance was, Great Britain, France and Russia, which was known as the Triple Entente, and the other was, Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy, they were knwon as the Triple Alliance.   • Western Front Strategy

    The Italians had chosen to be in the Triple Alliance for defensive stategy, so that they do not get hurt in the process. They were the centeral powers in the heart of the war land, Europe.
  • Eastern Front Developments

    A lot of the developments had failed all through the time, there had been a lot of bloodshed from each side, but it was mostly just slaughter.
  • Battle on Western Front

    The Allies had attacked on the Marne River on the Germans (northeast of Paris). Every soldier that was able to fight was put into the attack. In the end, the Germans had retreated. It was a quick victory.
  • Battles

    Opposing armies on the Western Front had dug many parallel trenches to protect them from the enemies shots. This had started trench warfare, which the men fought eachother from trenches. That was happening the whole year round, many of the soldiers died within that year.
  • The battle on Western Front

    The British army had tried to relieve the pressure on the French. They had battled the Germans in the valley of Some River, over 20,000 British soldiers had died. From both sides they had gained a lot of advantage through the valley.
  • The Strategy Developments

    The war had moved to the high seas. The Germans had started to use submarine warfare. The Germans had asked Mexico for help, and told them they would give them Southwest of America. The British soon found out about this and had asked America for help, and Ted Roosevelt was pro-war and had got America to join into the war.
  • America in the war

    President Woodrow Wilson, goes to congress and speaks a speech saying the America is declaring war on Germany. That was when America had joined the war.
  • The developement on Eastern Front

    The new Russian ruler had wanted out of the war, and refused to fight any longer. Many of them were killed, wounded or taken prisoner. They offered Germany a truce which they took, and signed the treaty of Brest-Litovsk, which was the end of war between the two countries.
  • The End of some Alliances

    By this time Russia had left the war. The Germans had did one final attack (which was a very large attack overall) on the Allies in France. The Germans had crushed everything in their paths, when going through France.
  • Second Battle of the Marne

    Two million of the American troops were involved in this battle, and they steadily moved toward the Germans and their soldiers. Which in the end Germany gets beaten.
  • End of the War

    Germany had declared that it had been a republic. In a railway car near Paris, they both had signed an agreement to ending the war. World War I had come to an end. It was time of peace and settlement throughout Europe again.
  • Offically the end of the war

    Versailles in France, a German delegation signs the Treaty which had, formally ending the war. The clauses on the treaty show that the war was Germanies fault.
