The Schlieffen Plan was tactic to invade France through Belgium. Little did the Germans know that Belgium had a secret alliance with Britain. As soon as Germany attacked through Belgium Britain was notofied and there was an warning sent to Germany but Germany didnt listen and didnt remove there troops with ment that Britain had to now launch anattack.

Gavrilo Princip assasinates Franz Ferdinand, the archduke of Austria-Hungary, and his wife at Srajero, Bosnia. Gavrilo was angry that Serbia didnt have self-rule and that Franz ruled them.
