Industrial revolution
The industrial revolution was massive part in history. The industrial revolution is were Britian created machines to do your jobs for them. People were getting poor because the machines were doing there jobs for them. The only job left was farming in farms. People were having to steal to get food and clothes. Then they had to send convicts to Australia to start a new life -
Captain cooks finding of Australia
Captain cook found Australia on the 22nd of August 1770. He claimed the eastern side of Australia called NSW. He landed in Australia with convicts and free settlers. Many people died on the way there. When they landed on Australia they were not the only ones there. There was aborigines on the land to. -
NSW had gotten bigger
In 1825 the border of NSW had been move west with WA covering 1/3 of australia (New holland). There was now 3 states in the whole of Australia. Which includes New South Wales,South Australia and Van Diemens land which is now called Tasmania. -
Van Diemens land
In 1825 Van Diemens now known as Tasmania now, was separated from New South Wales to become the second Colony in Australia. Then there was 2 states at that time. Those 2 were NSW and Van Diemens Land. In the other side of NSW there was still room there but no one had claimed the land -
The Gold rush
The gold rush was when the discovered there was gold in Bathurst. It added way more wealthough in NSW. The population in Australia increased massively in 20 years -

American civil war is were Britian and American were fighing over slavery. Then America didn't want to have Britian convicts anymore. Britian needed to find a new place for them to send there convicts. They then found new holland now known as Australia. Britian also had free settlers,animals and some crops to grow -
