    On this day, the Bill of Rights was approved my Congress. This menas that we have more rights than we did before. All americans should be happy that this was appproved. We still use it to this day.

    President Thomas Jefferson announces to the public that he bought 827,000 square acres for $15 million dollars. This was alot of land. This was one of the greatest deals in American History. Still, many people back then did not agree with this.

    William Clark bring nearly four dozen men with him to meet with Meriwether Lewis. They had been preparing for months. He met with him on May 20.

    After nearly two and a half years of traveling, they have reached St. Louis. They have gone through so much and they had finally finished their journey. They are remembered today as national heroes.

    After years of trying to gain Florida, the U.S. had just signed the Adams-Onis Treaty. Luckily, it would be ratified later by Spain and the U.S. It would later become a state.

    Congress has just approved the Indian Removal Act. President Andrew Jackson wanted to get rid of the Indians. All they wanted was their ancestral homeland. They hit the Southern states first, they others followed.

    Note: There is no specific day that the Cherokee had been forced out of their land. I checked. This was a sad time in American history. They were not the first t be forced.

    Note: I actually found this date on the internet. After all their troubles in the winter, their journey had ended. They have gone through so much suffering. Plus, the weather was not very kind to them. Many have died on the journey.
  • Mexican American War Pt. 1

    Mexican American War Pt. 1
    On this day, the Mexican American War has started. The war is between Mexico and America. The Americans wanted more land and territory change.

    Mexican American War Pt. 2
    This war had ended and the winner was the Americans. Thousands of soldiers on both sides have died in the war. We were so outnumbered but we were victorious in the end and recieved more land.
  • Transcontinental Railroad Complete

    Transcontinental Railroad Complete
    On this day, the Transcontinental Railroad or the "Pacific Railroad" was completed. It took them six years to build the whole thing. This is where the immigrant popoulation began to grow, with their help on the railroad. They celebrated it's "Last Spike" in Promontory Summit, Utah. The purpose of this railroad was to make transporting and making goods easier for western states.
