    The Trail of Tears was the trail that the Indians walked on when they were kicked out of their land and headed west.

    The Oregon Trail was a trail that was the beginning of the journey for the people moving west.

    Manifest Destiny is described as the western expansion for the first time.
  • Texas becomes a U.S. state

    Texas is brought in as a state that was then part of the U.S.A
  • The Mexican/American War

    The Mexican American war was fought because of America's new state Texas. mexico wanted to claim it, but the U.S did first so they got the right of the land.
  • Gold Rush

    The California Gold Rush begins, and many Californios are kicked out of their homes, and some got kicked out of their state.
