The Trail of Tears were about a treaty that stated that they would have 5.6 million and free transportation. Most Cherokees rejected, between 1835-1838 Cherokees moved to Mississippi along so-called Trail of Tears. Between 2,000 and 4,000 of the 16,000 migrating Cherokees died
