  • Lewis and Clark

    Lewis and Clark left St. Louis, Missouri to venture out and explore the wild western area, west of Mississippi
  • No More New Slaves

    The slave trade is ended by Thomas Jefferson. He ended this trade in order to stop the arrival of any "new" slaves to America from Africa
  • American Revolutionary War

    The U.S. announced war on England due to issues such as, impressment on their sailors and other issues.
  • Tecumseh

    A U.S. army inttle, Canada defeats an Anglo-indian force under Tecumseh. While in battle, Tecumseh dies.
  • Texas Revolution

    After winning the Texas Revolution against Mexico, Texas becomes an independent republic
  • Trail of Tears

    The Cherokee Tribe were forced to leave Georgia, their homeland, and move to Oklahoma. On this Journey, 1/4 of these people died and the trail they walked on is known as the Trail of Tears.
  • 28th state

    Texas inherits the role of being the 28th state in the U.S. James K. Polk, the current president at the time, was involved in making this happen.
  • Oregon Trail

    The Oregon Trail is established and scads of pioneers either walk the trail or ride along on wagons while heading out west as they travel west to attain cheap land and a marvelous new life.

    The Mexican War comes to an end and U.S. claims victory. America recieves Arizona, California, New Mexico, and other land, with triumph, from Mexico
  • The Gold Rush

    After James Marshall discovers gold at Sutter's mill, the Gold Rush begins. Soon after, word traveld quickly throughout the entire country.
