Proclomation of 1763
After a harsh war fought between the French and the British, the British won the Seven Years’ War and earned rights to the westward expansion. They had earned plenty of land at the time, the colonists were very anxious to explore beyond the west. On the other hand, the proclamation of 1763 had banned further westward expansion. Britain had two reasons for the establishment of the proclamation. First, it harbored the colonists closer to the coast, closer to colonial authorities. -

Northwest Territory
The Northwest Territory was a policy of 5 known states, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. North of the Ohio river, east of the Mississippi river, south of the Great Lakes, and west of Pennsylvania. This was planned out by Thomas Jefferson. President Franklin Pierce has witnessed the purchase during his presidency. This agreement bought the southern U.S. This allowed a railroad to be established in the Gulf of California. Gadsden was originated by the minister of Mexico James Gadsden. This happened five years after the Mexican war. It was totaled to be paid 10 million dollars.
