    Columbus discovers America

    On August 3, 1492 Columbus left the port of Palos, Spain. After seventy days at sea he landed in the New World. However when he landed he thought he was in India.

    The colony of Jamestown was founded by the Virignia Company of London. In December of 1606 the Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery left England with 105 passengers on board. Only one passenger died on the voyage.
