  • Foothill Oak Elementary School Goes 1:1

    Students at Foothill Oak Elementary School (FHO) will be given an opportunity never before seen in the Vista Schools. All students in grades grades 4 and 5 will each be given a Chromebook to use throughout the school day. The children in grades 2 - 3 will share Chromebooks and each class of 26 will get 12 Chromebooks. All TK - grade 1 classes will have access to 10 iPads to use. What makes this so special is that FHO is a school with a 98% poverty rate, 97% are Hispanic, and 77% are ELL.

  • FHO Robotics Program Begins

    FHO students are beginning the process of building usable robots that will assist with manual tasks at the school

  • FHO Elementary School Parnters with Cal State University of San Marcos

    The engeneering students of CSUSM and the Elementary Students of FHO Elementary have parntnered to create a state of the art playground that will encourage kenethetic activities and will stimulate brain activity along with body movemwent. Sponcership for this project is Lego and Nike

  • Students of FHO Work with the City of Vista to Solve Real Word Problems

    The City of Vista has partnered with the students of Vista Elemetary to create solutions to the problems of the parks being taken over by adults who are out of work. This real world problem is one of many that the students of FHO have been involved in. Their first project was creating a commuity garden where individuals not only grew food, but also created organic garden solutions to common problems.

  • Concert features FHO and CSUSM students

    CSUSM and fourth and Fifth graders at FHO have created a syncronysous concert that has gone viral on the internet. Students of CSUSM have collaborated with the Elementary students to create an on line musical.

  • Foothill Oak School Keeps Doors Open For Learning

    Foothill Oak Elementary School has become a learning center that is now open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 every night. Rooms are set up as specialization stations where parents and their children can specialize in specific things that interest them or that further their career and learning.
