    The Boston Massacre was when the people and the soldiers of the government fought on King Street killing 5 people. They were each standing on opposite sides doing nothing when someone(no one knows who) shot a gun and a war broke out.

    The Boston Tea party was an act where the Colonies were fighting to stop paying taxed for the tea industry. They protested on the Boston harbor, and started throwing the tea off the side of the boat to protest.

    The American Revolution was the war of the 13 colonies against Great Britain. The colonies thought they had no say in what they got to do, and the laws they had to follow. They followed with the saying "No Taxation Without Representation" to show that they are paying the government without having a say in what they are paying for.

    The Deceleration of Independence was made to show that everyone was created equal. In the deceleration everyone was allowed to practice their own religion and have the freedom of speech.

    The US constitution was signed in the same place the Deceleration of Independence was signed. The constitution explained the fundamental rules of the government and explained and guarantee the basic rights for the people.

    The belief that moving west would promise people a better life with better farming land, better trade, and better lives. Many people moved west thinking that they would get what they said they would get but however this promise did not actually come true to those who moved west. The Westward Expansion started in 1803.

    Democracy in the 18th century that was political philosophy in the United States. The goal was to get more democrats in the United States. He was president from 1829 to 1837. However the tome period from 1824 to 1840 were known as the "Jacksonian Democracy" and the "Era of Common Men".

    In this election Andrew Jackson(Democrat) and John Quincy Adams(Republican) fought for who would become President. This was a big controversy, John had a lot more popular votes than Andrew but still lost because Andrew had a lot more electoral votes that helped him win the war.

    Abolitionist Movement is also know as the movement to end slavery. With the Abolitionist Movement the goal was to end all of the slavery and the racial discrimination and segregation and not let it happen again.

    Andrew Jackson ordered the Native Americans to be sent away from the Americas to create their own society. The were only allowed to stay Americas society if they would change their religions and their customs.

    In this war Mexico and America were fighting for the land that Mexico owned. Texas while it was independent it was still apart of America and there were Native Americans living in the territory. America wanted to push them out, so they created a war debating whether or not Mexico could have the land. America soon won the war.

    The compromise of 1850 was when the North and the South made statements concluding that Washington, California, and other states were now free states and were abolishing slavery.
  • Dred Scott Decision

    The Dred Scott Decision was the court case debating whether Dred Scott and his family should be free from slavery. While they were in the free states, the court ordered them to go back to their owners, and not be free. The court decided that they are not allowed to be free from slavery, and continue as slaves.
