The town of Jamestown was a futile attempt to find land on the American continent. Unfortunately, they did not know how to cook meals in the new area, and had to do things that I really should not mention. -

The Declaration of Independence was the event that turned the tide of the Revolutionary war. This meant that the people fighting for freedom had something to fight for. -

This battle signified Britain's withdrawal from the newly formed United States of America. -
The constitutional convention
After the colonies became states, the constitutional convention was called to order because of the rebellions like Shay's Rebellion rising up. The end solution was a federal government that could collect taxes, make a common dollar, and train an army for the new nation. -

A man named Eli Witney made an invention that made making clothes much quicker and more efficient. -

The Sedition Acts were in response to the French Revolution. The acts limited speech and other constitutional rights. -

To keep the Democratic-Republican party from separating due to slavery, the government implanted a compromise to try to keep the party together. -

Between 1830 and 1850, large groups of Native Americans had to be relocated. This was a foolish move because it hurt so many people. -

After Jackson's wife passed away from a heart attack, Jackson blamed others for her death. This election was considered the dirtiest election. -
