An Italian explorer sailing for Spain who believed that Asia (India) could be reached by sailing west from Europe. His first voyage was in 1492, wherein he discovered North America (Caribbean islands) and named it the West Indies. He will make four voyages to the new world without fully realizing what he had discovered. -

One leg of the 3 leg trade route. They forced Africans to the New World to make them slaves. It started in 1518, and went on for a long time, so millions of men, women and children had to go on overcrowded ships, so they could be slaves. -

In the fall of 1863 Abraham Lincoln went back to Gettysburg, and gave a short speech. It was so short they didn't get any photos of the speech. The guy before him spoke for 2 hours, but Abraham Lincoln speech was the best even though it only was a couple of minutes -
April 1865, General Robert E Lee and General Ulysses S. Grant sits down and signs the paper so the civil war ends. A week later Abraham Lincoln gets assassinated, and is the first president to be that.
