Thomas Jefferson believed any land in the west should be used for farmers. The idea behind this is if people expand less civilians will be on the east coast leaving it vulnerable but expansion was in evitable. Our economy would of benefited from the agricultural industry which is the positive side of the expansion, economic oppurtunities. This law would ultimately effect the federalist who were gaining power by buying big chunks of land and selling them individully to farmers for more profit.

Robert Fulton was responsible for the accomplishment of creating the first utilized steam boat named Clermont. This invention would allow faster transportation of people and wanted goods. This would create more economic opportunities, while allowing westward expansion to become capable quicker.

Bleeding Kansas was the era after the Kansas Nebraska Act that caused violent uprisings and feuds between free states and Pro slavery states. Lasted from 1854 to 1856.

Kansas and Nebraska would both enter the United States, to be determined free or slave states they would apply the use of popular soverinity. Decision by the people in the state by voting, This will later lead to what is known as "Bleeding Kansas."
