    A treaty between the U.S. and the British that ultimately ended the war, it resulted in both sides giving back territory that was conquered and peace.

    This bank was created in order to bring economic stability to the country and for an easier way to get loans and give out money.
  • Adams-Onis Treaty

    This treaty was between the U.S and the spanish and resulted in the U.S. recognizing Spanish sovereignty over Texas and the Spanish giving up claims to the Pacific Northwest. Thought of to be one of the most advantageous treaties in U.S. history.
  • Missouri Compromise

    The differing views of slavery between the southern and northern states led to this compromise that resulted in admitting Missouri as a slave state and Maine as a free state in order to keep the balance. Another result of this compromise was that the rest of the territory in the Louisiana purchase would be free land.

    The Monroe Doctrine was a statement made by the U.S. president, James Monroe that basically meant that the U.S. wouldn't tolerate any new settlements or claims from european countries in the Americas.
