    1400 people are injured or killed because of a trampling outside the palace after the coronation. The people had been promised a feast after his coronation, but everyone heard a rumor that there was not enough food for all of them so they panicked. People began to believe that this marked the start of a reign that was destined to be filled with troubles from God.

    The 2nd child of the royal couple is born and even more disappointment is spread because there is still no heir.

    Once again people are filled with disappointment as an heir has still not been born.
  • Alexandra meets with Dr Phillipe

    Dr Phillipe is a mystic who made a promise to the royal family that they would have a boy.

    Not just the people throughout the country are disappointed and upset about the birth of a girl as Alexandra had done all she could with Dr. Phillipe to have a baby boy

    The couple is filled with hopes that the Mystic would be able to help them bear a son as the heir.

    She is convinced that Philippe blessed her with the ability to have a baby boy despite her previously having 4 girls. When the mystic departs from the family he tells Alexandra that she will someday meet another, like him, who would be able to speak to her on God's behalf

    Tsar Nicholas and Alexandra make an uncommon public appearance among the nobles of the country.
  • Alexei Nikolaevna is born

    Finally, after 4 births, the royal family had given birth to a baby boy who would become the heir of Russia. The people of Russia rejoiced for their future country under the rule of Alexei.
  • Alexei starts to bleed

    At only a few weeks old Alexei suffers from a horrible bleed that could have been fatal. After a few days the young child had been diagnosed with hemophilia and Alexandra put the blame on herself as she knew hemophilia was common in her family
  • Protests against class seperation begin

    The events to the start of this protest had been building up for years before they began to protest against their class separation and unsanitary, unethical living and working conditions.
  • Bloody Sunday

    120,000 people began this peaceful march to the palace square in St. Petersburg, but over 12,000 soldiers met them and became violent. 150 to 200 people were killed and 450 to 800 were wounded. This day marks the beginning of a mass abhorrence towards the tsar and his family.
  • Moscow printers strike

    Beginning on the 3rd and continuing throughout the month printers throughout the major Russian cities began to strike. The printers strike escalated to the point of a majority of professions deciding to quit working. The events of Bloody Sunday had made citizens realize they needed a voice in the way Russia was governed over, so they demanded a legislatures, called the Duma, that they could elect members to.
  • Jewish attacks led by the black hundred

    The Black Hundred was a tsar loyalist community that was supported by the government. They organized 694 attacks on the Jews, furthering the hatred towards the tsar.
  • Nicholas and Alexandra meet Rasputin

    Rasputin is considered to be a "man of God" who was known for blessing the poor and healing the sick. He seemed to be the best Alexandra's best option for healing Alexei's illness. She believed that Rasputin was the man that Dr Phillipe had promised would be sent 2 years later
