Mental Disabilities
In this time, there was a belief that those that were mentally ill, were claimed as being possessed by the devil or considered to having evil spirits. In the result of this belief, they were whipped, tortured, and even burned. -
Creation of Sign Language
Juan Pablo created and published the first book on sign language to communicate with the deaf in 1620. This idea of educating spread throughout France like a wild fire. -
