  • Ending of the war of 1812

    After the war of 1812 is when the white men decided to get rid of the indians. They indians wanted to become civilized but the white men didn't want that quite yet.

  • When Indiana became a state

    There was mostly the Potawatomi navtive Americans in Indiana at the time, and the people expected the court to get rid of them.

  • Indian Removal Act

    Andrew Jackson created the Indian removal act. He made this act becuase he wanted the land to start building a comunity and a new state. Another thing is that they were eagar to get rid of them so they could start something new. Also, the indians were just a problem in the way.

  • The begging

    It all started when the white men wanted the indians land and their soil.

    In treaty of yellow river, the federal soldiers got tribe leaders to sign a treaty about their land. But really they just tricking the Native Americans to move out of the west later after they signed the treaty.

    This date is when the Indians were being forced to move. They had to start from this date and fravel for the toatl of two months.
