scout, dill, and jem sneak into the trial and watch from the balcony. the testimonys begin (mayla is extremely reactive, tom is calm). Dill starts to faint, goes into hallway with scout and they talk to Dolphus Raymond. -
verdict
calpurnia goes to the court to get the children but is allowed to come back ton hear the final verdict. tom is found guilty and sent to jail -
lunching
Aunt Alexandra has her lady friends over for lunch (she lets cal serve) and scout tries to act lady-like. -
