  • The faculty of law and social sciences was born in 1998

    In 1998, the humanies deanatura was born. Which later became the faculty of law and social sciences.

  • Icesi's research policy was born in 2000. Also, the law program began in 2000.

    In 2000, the research policy of Icesi was born. Whose pursose is the generation of new knowledge and the application and dissemination of same. Also, start the law program.

  • The Anthropology, sociology and psychology programs were created by resolution in 2005.

  • The ethnographic laboratory is created in 2008

  • The public actions group of Icesi was fouinded in 2008.

    The public actions group of Icesi are the legal clinic of human rights and public interest of the social science and law faculty.

  • GAPI was vinculated as foundermeber with the Colombian network of legal clinics of human rights in 2009.

    The Colombian network of legal clinies of human rights and public interest are vinculated with the public actions group of Icesi since 2009.

  • The Icesi University was certified by the national acreditation council of the ministry of national education level in 2013.

    In 2013 according to the Saber Pro was the fourth best university in the country.

  • The social science was the second program in the national level and law program was the sixth in the same category.

    In 2013, according with the results of the Saber Pro, social science was the second best program on the country and law was the sixth best program on the same category.

  • The social science was the second best program in 2014.

    In 2014, The social sciences were the second best program in the country, in the Saber Pro tests.

  • The social science was the fifth best program in the national level in 2015.

    In 2015, the social sciences was the fifth best program in the national level.

  • The Psychology and the Law program was the sixth and seventh best programs respedly in the country.

    In2015, the Psychology and the Law progrm had a very good places according the results of the Saber Pro.

  • The acreditation of the Icesi university was renovated in 2015.

    In 2015, The ministery of national education renovated the Institutional acreditation of Icesi.

  • The COMPSI (Students group) was initiated in 2015 in the Psychology program.

    The investigation group of Psychology was initiated in 2015 with the name of COMPSI.

  • The music program was founded in 2016.

    In 2016, Icesi founded the music program at the university.

  • More of the middle of the investigation groups was classified in the "A" category in 2017.

    In 2017, by Colciencias more of the middle of the investigation groups was classified in the "A" category.

  • The faculty of Law and Social Sciences in 2018 is been prepared the XVlll congress of Anthropology.

    In 2018 the faculty of Law and Social Science is prepared for the XVlll congress of Anthropology in Colombia for 2019.
