First Phone

The first phone was created by Alexander Graham Bell. The first call ever was from Alexander to his assistant.

1946

First Computer

The first computer was invented by J. Presper Eckert and John Mauchly. It was called the ENIAC, and it started construction in 1943 and was finished in 1946.

Apr 3, 1973

First Cell Phone

The first cell phone was from the company Motorola, but was mainly invented by Martin Cooper. The first cellphone call was from Martin to the Bell Labs headquarters.

Apr 1, 1976

First Apple Computer

The Apple brand and the Apple computer were both invented by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. The computer was released on April 1, 1976. They had called it the "Apple 1." It was the first computer to only have one circuit board.

1981

First Laptop

The first laptop was invented by Adam Osborn, from the Osborn Computers company. It was called the "Osborn 1."

Jan 1, 1983

Internet

Researchers began working to assemble a "network of networks." This has now turned into what is our modern day technology.

Nov 20, 1985

First Microsoft Computer

THe founders of the brand Microsoft are Bill Gates and Paul Allen. The first Microsoft computer was named "Windows" and released on November 20, 1985.

WIFI

WIFI was created by the 802.11 group, a main inventor in that group was Vic Hayes. WIFI was released for consumers in 1997

Google

Google was invented by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They names it 'Google' after the math term "googol." The brand is now one of the biggest and most known around the world.
