    In 1676, when Peter was only 4, his father, Tsar Alexis, died. This left a huge toll on Peter because he didn't have a father figure to grow up with since his father died whe he was so young.

    From 1700-1721 Peter the Great was being involved in the Great Northern War. He started the war with Denmark and Poland as allies. In the end, Sweden lost their supremacy, and Russia won.

    On February 8th, 1725, Peter the Great died at the age of 52 years-old. He died from an infection in his bladder called gangrene.
