The Romans
After the Romans conquered the Jews and tried to make the Jews obey the laws and worship Roman Gods. The Jews refused and became "hostile" and "stubborn". -
Race
Around the 1800s the scientists began to infentify race as people who shared ethnicity or were related to eachother. However, later race was identified as the cultural differences within the different cultures. -
Racial Ranks
Also in the 1800s the races were ranked, and at the top were the Aryans. Over the years the Europeans and Americans identified themselves as the “Aryans” or superior culture of people. -
Jews & Aryans
In the late 1800s the German Society tried tk find differences in the Jewish and Aryan races. After several studies they found out the Aryans and Jews were very similar. -
The Great Depression & “Enemies”
In the early 1900s the Great Depression, a time when the world had an economic decline, and everyone needed someone to blame. The Germans chose to point their fingers towards the Jews. -
Hitler for Chancellor
In 1933 Adolf Hitler became chancellor if Germany. He then turned the government into a dictatorship, and declared the Jews as Germany’s enemy. -
No Citizenship for Jews
In 1935 Hitler stripped the Jewish people in Germany of their citizenship. Also any Christians that had anything to do with Jews would receive punishment. -
Hitler Teams Up
In the 1940s Hitler joined with Eastern and Western Europe to conquer numerous nations. Together the nations captured, isolated and began to destroy the Jewish people. The Jewish people were sent to Internment Camps, where they were killed. -
Thousands of Jews
12,000 Jews were sent a day to internment camps.
